Our mission is clear:
To inspire all girls
to be strong, smart and bold. To achieve this mission, Girls Inc.
strives to effectively meet the needs of girls in their own communities;
develop girls’ capacity to be self-sufficient, responsible members
of the community; help girls overcome the effects of discrimination;
and serve as a vigorous advocate for girls, focusing attention on the
needs of girls. Our nationally researched and developed programs are
designed to encourage girls to master physical, intellectual and emotional
challenges. Girls Inc. provides a wide range of curricula for girls that
focus on healthy youth development.
Girls Inc. of Greater Houston has provided services
that have positively affected the lives of over 8,000 girls. With your
generous support we can continue our efforts to promote healthy interests,
choices, and lifestyles among the girls and young women in the greater
Houston metropolitan area.

Girls Inc. of Greater Houston Scholars and
Awards Program
Girls
Inc. of Greater Houston Scholars and Awards Program is designed to
inspire girls to succeed in school, to support their entry into
the career field of their choice, and to inspire them to be strong,
smart and bold.
We
seek sponsors for gifts of $2500.00 or more to fund scholarships to
deserving girls.
Matching Gifts
Many employers match
gifts made to charities by their employees. Contact your company’s
Human Resources department to find out how your gift can make an even
bigger impact on the lives of girls in the Houston area.
Alternative Gift Giving
For each donation
of $25 or more to Girls Inc. of Greater Houston, we will send a certificate
to the person you specify stating that you are honoring her/him as a
strong, smart and bold person/inspiration to others.
