Be a Mentor

In developing the leadership skills of young women today, one of the most critical factors is the influence of other people, especially role models. In today’s media saturated environment, the influences on young women are innumerable and often contradictory. Now, more then ever, girls need images of strong successful women in order for them to construct positive female identities. As part of the Girls Incorporated mission to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, we have instituted a mentoring program in concert with our Leadership Council program.

Requirement: Any woman professional or entrepreneur who feels she has the time, insight and the desire to give career guidance to a teenage girl, inspiring her to reach her full potential.

Commitment: Minimum of one hour per month plus a 2 hour orientation.
